Quick Hits: Sixers/Heat

Well, a list of things we learned from the game today.

-Miami can win this series by playing well for roughly two quarters per game. If they are able to take that much time off every night, it doesn't bode well for the Celtics/Knicks in round 2.

-On the plus side for Philly, Thaddeus Young is a beast, and he pretty much typifies this entire Philly team: scrappy, young, hardworking, athletic, and not talented enough to make Philly a TRUE threat to any of the big boys.

-Another plus side for Philly...if Miami DOES let their foot off the gas pedal, Philly doesn't ever get too discouraged to come back. The Sixers don't ever die, which is surprising, because they don't have any 3 point shooters aside from Jodie Meeks. Most of the time, when a team is never out of the game, they have some players who can hit three pointers to swing the momentum and keep you alive. The Sixers just don't quit, which is why it's sad that they are going to get bounced in the first round. Ah well.

-Miami's fans are perfectly willing to leave with their team leading by 5 and 15 seconds left to play. Way to fan up, guys. Also we learned that when an entire fanbase dresses in white, it looks mildly cultish.

-The fans also seem pretty split on who they think their MVP is. There were some awkward "well, we better at least pretend like we think he's our MVP...since he's our best player" MVP chants for LeBron, and some much more enthusiastic ones for Wade. Bosh even got in on the party, although I'm pretty sure those were half-joking. So do Miami fans realize that LeBron is their best player but still love Wade more? That's the impression I get. Interesting vibe.

Anything I forgot? I don't feel like there is...but let me know in the comments if you think I'm wrong.
